I was thinking about getting a job as a stripper to help with college costs. Does this make me a bad person? Does it matter if you haven't had any experience? How are you supposed to learn all the things that they do? Any advice or anyone that has done this before would be appreciated. It's not like I have a pole in my bedroom to practice with. I know they buy the clothes to strip in but from where? Do you have audition first in front of the customers? I don't want to look like an *** because I don't know what to do. Thanks for the help :o)

No, it doesn't make you a bad person. And no, you don't need experience. Just watch what the other girls do. It's easy. Some clubs allow dancers to come in before the club opens to practice. Customers don't care if you can dance, anyway.

Dance clothes and shoes can be expensive, so I suggest looking on eBay. Don't invest in anything until you're sure it's something you want to do. This is a good starting lot: http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-EXOTIC-DANCER-STRIPPER-OUTFITS-SZ-SM-SO-HOT_W0QQitemZ300086755984QQihZ020QQcategoryZ4844QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Usually clubs have girls audition during the day when there are few customers (on a separate stage), or before the club opens. Auditions are only held on certain days so call first.

Good luck.

It doesn't make you a bad person.

It's not going to be a lot of fun, and you probably won't feel really great about it, either. But it doesn't make you a bad person.

One person mentioned that you won't be contributing anything positive to the world. That's probably true. But someone who sells trucks, or builds factories, or writes advertisements for different kinds of pencils, is also not really contributing anything to the world. There is a lot of money to be made in stripping (if you're hot), and I think you'd probably be a lot less evil than someone who fights unions at Wal-Mart or hawks cigarettes for Phillip Morris.

That said, I haven't done it before, so I cant' give you any advice. There is, however, at least one DVD out there that gives you good, detailed instruction and demonstrations of exotic dancing. You can definitely practice this in the mirror at home!

Finally, there are enough businesses out there looking for girls that you can likely find one that will let you start just as a waitress or something and work your way up to dancing. You sound like you don't have a lot of money, (which I understand!), otherwise I'd recommend taking some dance classes. But you shoudl definitely get a DVD and start going to some clubs in the late afternoons to talk to the managers. Somebody will give you a break.

It won't be easy and you might not feel great about it, but it certainly won't make you a bad person. You're not giving drugs to kids or putting noxious fumes in the atmosphere.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Choose a better job. You will not contribute with anything positive to the world by doing this. There are lots of other ways to pay for college.
