i know the u.s has copied this aircraft and they call it f-22 raptor and jsf jet fighters , The korean, vietnam and other wars allready proved this as the u.s offered rewards to pilots of the countires the u.s were fighting to bring them a modern russian jets so they could steal russian technology as the russians are by far well ahead in the aeronomics and space tech then the u.s even to this present day.

Believe you are wrong on this one - doesn't even come close to the Raptor -- actually not much different from a Harrier. Back in the 70's the U. S. designed three airplanes which the Russians have not been able to beat yet. The F14 which (when it was in service) could identify and attack an intruder that was still 125 miles out. The F15 which could out perform any foreign countries aircraft to this day. And the SR-71 Blackbird (a spy plane) which could outrun and out climb any other jet aircraft on the planet.

The F22 has been replaced the designations were up to F34 the last time I checked.

How many F117 type planes do the Russians have ?

How many hundreds of satellites does the U.S. have in space orbit to each one of the Russians ?

I see what you're trying to say.

The USA and former USSR waged a real information war against each other. The Americans are better at Electronics/Avionics while the former Soviets were better at aerodynamics. The two Nations stole technology from each other all of the time. Soviet pilots defected with their aircraft (eg MiG 25), Spies were hidden on both sides, aircraft like the U2 crashed on the wrong side of borders etc. Most of the time, one side developed an aircraft (eg the Harrier) and the other side saw images from spy satellites and worked out what it could do and developed their own equivalent (Yak 38 Forger/Yak 141 Freestyle. Incidentally, the Harrier and the Forger had completely different methods of hovering. The former has one engine with moveable nozzles and the latter had one engine facing rearwards and one facing downwards). They were constantly trying to outdo each other, like kids showing off their new toys. You could look at any American/Russian military aircraft/Airliner and find something very similar on the other side.

e.g
B1-B Lancer/Tu160 Blackjack
Concorde/Tu144
C5 Galaxy/An124 Condor
F111/Su24 Fencer

The F-22 has no real soviet equivalent, the nearest thing the Russians made was the MiG 1.44 which claimed to be stealthy, but was poorly constructed, and experts believe was a poor competitor. It never passed the prototype phase before funding was cut.

Have you been to Russia? Do you know and trust someone who has? Russia is a mess. They are almost a third world country now. When communism finally destroyed their economy they had to start over. Why do you think they were caught up in the Iraq oil for food scandal? They are broke and cant pay their Government or city employees. Teachers and police men also aren't getting paid. Their military officers are stealing and selling off their weapons. Even the nuclear ones.
We are not concerned about Russian Technology. They would not be able to function if the American tax payer wasn't sending them millions of $$$$ in aid every year.

First of all, you are incorporating a technical question with a politically motovated undertone. Secondly, the reason why you only know what you DO know is because you are not in the business, and Third you have no idea what you are talking about. The US has definite advantage over the Russians whose Air Force Fleet is rotting where it stands due to lack of funding. Hell, they only paint their Naval Ships on one side so it looks good at port! Go back, do some research and realize that this is a forum to ask questions....They can't afford to pay their high ranking officers, how can they afford research!

Was't it Concodski that blew up at the Paris air show - it certainly didn't go into mass production. Where exactly are the Russian stealth bombers? Don't tell me the Russians are the ones in Flying Saucers and are soo clever that they have Gangsters ripping off their oil and gas industries and stealing their nuclear technology and thats why the EU is funding the making safe of old nuclear storage facilities that are rusting to peices -

But what you say must be true as you read it in the Sunday Sport???

What proof do you have for your assertion that the f22 is based on soviet technology? The US militarty has offered monetary rewards for many things besides airplanes. They have been doing that as long as they have been around. They also try to recover crashed/sunken/etc weapons technology. It is used to help them leardn any ways to help them make better items for themselves and to combat the enemy's weapons. Ever heard of the enigma machine?
Chances are that one or two pieces of technolgy made it to US weapon system is a fair guess. To say that the the us couldn't have made it without the information from the soviets is just laughable.
I guess your next assertion will be that evryone stole airflight from the US since the wright brothers invented it at kitty hawk.

As I recall, it was America who first had an aircraft capable of strategic bombing (different from tatical bombing). I am of course referring to the b-29 Superfortress which delivered the nukes that dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. One of the greatest military problems with strategic bombing is delivery (which is still a problem for some countries today). But the US was still the first and always the best.

Are you whacked? The U.S. has the most sophisticated aircraft in the world. The Russians tried to copy our Space Shuttle, not the other way around.By the way, theirs never flew. The only reason we want their aircraft is so we know the capability of them. That way we can come up with better tactics to blow them out of the sky!! Go Airforce!!! Semper Fidelis

Danged kids! hahahahahahahahahahahahohohohohhehehe
Russian military tech is at a stand still. They're having trouble paying their TROOPS. Their ships are rusting alongside piers, their subs are becoming nuclear hazards to the waters they're sitting in...yup..SITTING IN ALONGSIDE THE PIERS! Their air force is a JOKE!
Thanks for the laugh!
