It depends on the pagan. For me, paganism is about finding my place in relation to all other forms of consciousness in the Multiverse. For others, it's about reverence of Nature, or reconstructing pre-Christian deities. For still others, magic is of the utmost importance. Many come to paganism because although there have been some attempt to impose small-scale whitewashing on the community, for the most part it's still open to people of many worldviews and subcultures--there are very few pagan homophobes, transphobes, racists and other bigots. (Unfortunately there are still too many anti-Christian pagans, IMO).

I think the earth is the first and most important thing to a pagan as it should be to all religions.

Depends on which Pagan religion you are taking about. Most are nature-based so emphasis on being connected with nature obviously is very important. However I would say, at least in my religion, that the most important thing is kinship. Kinship with one's family and friends and definitely kinship with the Gods themselves!

That's not true, a true pagan's spirituality lies within their relationship with nature. There is a difference between pagans and atheists.

Nature, the Earth, balance, connection. It's all part of the same thing. Hard to sum up in one word, I guess and be really accurate. Something about understanding and embracing the interdependance and connection of all things.

Nature is the most important thing. They realize that they're part of nature, not above it.
