Ofcourse they can. Just watch yourself. If you want to be thin and still be able to enjoy food, try diet programs supervised by encouraging friends that have your best interests in mind. Keep eating, just eat healthy stuff.

Actually, people with anorexia (or bulemia or any other emotional problem, as well as most medical problems) do not actually recover. They are IN recovery, which is a long-term process. Since there is no cure for anorexia, there is only management. That includes eating a fully balanced healthy diet with adequate intake of appropriate fluids, medication if that is part of their treatment, counseling if that is part of their treatment, and adequate and appropriate exercise. If a person in recovery from anorexia becomes overweight, he/she should consult their primary care doctor, their counselor, psychiatrist, or a nutrition specialist for assistance, and NOT revert back to their old patterns, which are just lying in wait under the surface. Good luck.

Anorexics who have recovered will be eating sensibly. They will consume a healthy diet and not become overweight or underweight. They should stick within 5 lbs. of the weight recommended by their doctor or counselor.
