This happens sometimes with older dogs. Did she get into something she shouldn't have? Try feeding cheese like american or cheddar. A slice or 2 every few hours will cure loose bowels. If that doesn't work after a day take to the vet.

This is quite common in a geriatric dog..

Check to see if her appetite is still good. Feed her some boiled white rice and baked chicken pieces. This will settle her...or some pure pumpkin puree (not the pie filling type), add two tablespoons to her regular food. Pumpkin has alot of fibre and can help if a older dog becomes constipated AND Diarreaha.

Review the type of food you are giving her, she may need to be switched to a older dog formula, and vitamin supplements may be required. (Fish oil can help with bones and coat).

It is a shame that 13 is considered geriatric, we love them so much then we watch them age. But, I have known quite a few dogs to reach well into their 15th year, and manage to keep there health and joy til the end.

Best wishes.

Your dog is a very old dog, if this happens again today then she should see a vet tomorrow .
