I get similar results when I try to capture video. But playback on my TV works fine. I tried upgrading my soundcard drivers, since I use the soundcard's firewire port, but that didn't help.

Any ideas?

Make sure that your computer system meets (preferably exceeds) the minimum requirements - see the specs for the video capturing/editing software.

You can help by adding more memory, or free up more memory before video capturing by shutting down all the other programs.

Blowing in my firewire helps sometimes, the last time that happpened to me it was the hardware that I put the fire in. Try to connect a different way and you'll be able to determine. Personally I ave 4 firewires for that reason. lol
