DO NOT read anything by Silver Ravenwolf. Think the tv show Charmed and you have everything Ravenwolf teaches you.

Jules Verne, Ray Bradbury, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain - there are so many 'secular' writers that wrote books that are in no way conflicting in religous terms. Classics like Moby Dick.

I seriously doubt Charles Dickens and others can be called "pagan". Just read Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.

There are also many non-fiction books that you can read for the intellectual value and learning about the world around you.

Sad, to say, many modern authors are not suitable for a Christian to read.

Here a couple of online reader sites that have large lists of classic books and authors:

I cut my teeth on Scott Cunningham and Ted Andrews; I also recommend Jennifer Hunter's "21st Century Wicca", which is a very realistic intro to that religion without any fluff, and Nicholas Graham's "The Four Powers: Magical Practice for Beginners of All Ages", which is an introduction to various magical paths I've found. For religious information, try Graham Harvey's "Contemporary Paganism".

And if you're on Amazon.com looking up books, be sure to read the customer reviews for a variety of viewpoints.

And, if I may be just a tad self-promoting, I have written a couple of books on pagan topics, as he my husband; you can see them at http://www.thegreenwolf.com/books.html

Start with "The Spiral Dance" by Starhawk. Ray Buckland and Scott Cunningham are also good.

Ignore Silver Ravenwolf. She's full of cr@p.

Wm. Mott has a nice book. So does Silver Ravenwolf. You might also try Harry Potter. You can learn alot from Magic the Gathering. Be sure to listen to lots of grinding death metal and find someone to turn into your victim.

Ther's LOTS of New Age topics to choose from. How about psyonic devices and how to make them? Cloud Busters, Holy Hand Grenades, Succor Punches, Mini-me's, and many other devices are fun and easy to make. Why not spread their construction data?
