I'm unsure if the stylist would rather get my highlights done one day and my perm done another. Which would they rather me do first? Or would they rather me get it done all at once? Any help?

you ALWAYS want to perm before you color. always. this is because the perm solution could change your color. it's also easier to control damage to the hair to perm first.

I have a chemical straightener on my hair, which is similar chemicals to those in a perm, and my stylist highly recommends that I don't color my hair unless I color it darker(not highlights). She says that lightening my chemically straightened(or in your case permed) hair will be overly damaging, and will definitely damage the hair causing it to look frizzy, and at the worst the hair could fall out/break off entirely. I'd wait on one or the other.

Hey,
This is Monique,
Get your perm done *first*, then get some highlights on that day, or the next.

I think they'd reccomend you got them done seperately. You should probably get you highlights done first because you can't get your hair wet for two days I think after you get your perm.

well i would get highlihghts first because if you got the perm first it would be alot harder to get the highlights and it wouldn't come out as good as you want it to.

First & foremost.............. DO NOT GET IT PERMED!! So 80's, go for something a bit more now, bite the bullet and get something really different, you'll be amazed1

Probably highlights so they dont have to color wavy hair. It took me over an hour to do highligts so they might have u do it on two seperate days

Ugh, I think you will be lucky to have any hair left if you do all of that to your hair.
