i think it is a 22 cal there is no mod.# serial # is 38694 pat. in Sept 6 1864
any info would be greatly appreciated

Try this "J. Stevens A & T Co" Single Shot Pistol(possibly a # 41) which was made between 1896 and 1916. The caliber is 22 Short. It is in Excel Shape and Functions perfectly. It has the 1/2 Octagonal barrel and 1/2 round barrel. The barrel pivots upward to load and locks up tight to frame. The frame is nickel plated and the barrel is blued
