Its about 6 - 7 months, its very gradual though, my female is 11 months and you can really see hers starting to take shape now. I think with males its much more noticable though. And before the head starts to split they dont look much like staffs, I used to get asked what mine was crossed with when she was younger, the cheek of it she's full pedigree lol.

Their heads DO NOT SPLIT. That is just a weird term sometimes used for describing how the muscles on their head look when they mature.
