He will be fine. You may just have to take him outside alot this evening. He will have the 'runs' (loose stool).

The dangers lies when a dog eats a good bit of chocolate or is constantly being fed it. Over time it will break down the dogs system and health problems will occur. Although rare, some instances do happen of a dog going into convulsions and throwing up, but this is most often immediate and you would be already at the vets.

Puppy Proof time!

Yup. He'll be fine. As long as he didn't eat a whole bar of chocolate or an entire bag of those raisins, he'll be just fine. Most dogs, when they get into chocolate, will vomit or have really bad diarhea for a bit, but they get over it pretty quickly.

Don't worry about your buddy, and keep any and all chocolate out of his reach in the future.

Definitely. He will be just fine. Dogs can only get hurt by chocolate if they eat a large ammount of it. My dog ate a whole hersey's candy bar when she was 2 and she is now 9 and she is fine. Don't worry about it at all. But never feed your dog grapes they are one of the worse foods for your dog. Also don't let it have a lot of chocolate. one lick wont do any harm

That small amount of chocolate isnt an issue at all. To get lightly sick a dog would have to eat half of a regular chocolate bar and thats only if its milk chocolate. Dark chocolate or coco have little effect on dogs unless taken in larger doses.

He’ll be absolutely fine. He didn’t really ingest any of it, so it won’t harm him.

My dog once got a hold of an Easter basket, full of chocolate eggs, and was fine. Chocolate is not an automatic death sentence for dogs, and will not always even make them sick. They should never be fed chocolate or be allowed to eat it, but generally, if they do happen to find a little bit of it, they will be fine.

i have a dog that loves chocolate and always seems to find it. just be careful it causes the heart rate ti increase and after having a lot of it it can cause kidney damage. but you dog should be fine. and in case he ever eats anything that you need to get out immediately, then you need some bread and peroxide. get a syringe and fill it with 5 cc (this is for a pekingese size, but i wouldnt go much larger for big dogs) have the dog eat several peices of bread then shoot the peroxide in its mouth..wait...some more bread after about 5 min...wait.. somemore peroxide... in about 30 min you will have major pukage and there will be very little left in its belly, and it will be very miserable and mad at you but this coudl save its life. it did ours when she ate her way into a box of cold pills, that is what the vet told us at 1:30 at night!

HE WILL BE OK.

The chocolate that is in candy is pretty safe for dogs except for making their stomachs upset.

BAKING chocolate which is pretty bitter and rarely eaten by itself is the dangerous kind of chocolate for dogs.
