Well... you could write about Cristobal Colon (Christopher Columbus). I think he was born in Italy or Portugal but he discovered America for the Spanish. There is plenty of information about him. Also look for Juan Ponce de Leon he was conqueror to many Spanish territories in America. Good luck.

By "spanish" person you mean someone who was or is from Spain? because I know some great people who speak spanish, but are not from spain, for example Simon Bolivar was born in Caracas Venezuela and he was the liberator of five nations..........
