Just curious, but has anyone tried magic mushrooms? If so, what are they like? How do you know they are magic mushrooms and not poisonous fungi? How can you tell? Also, how long do they last and are they damaging to you? Thanks! (Ps - no i haven't found any, am just asking out of curiosity!)

Very few people are aware that, since 18 July 2005, magic mushrooms have been reclassified as CLASS A DRUGS. Despite this, more than 400 small shops are continuing to supply this drug. There was a period of grace while people were told about the new law, but that period is now over.

The reason for the change in the law is that they contain psilocin and psylocibin and are considered the very worst risk to health. The loophole regarding fresh product has been closed and ALL magic mushrooms are now Class A.

Penalties for possession: Up to seven years in prison or an unlimited fine. Or both.

Penalties for dealing: Up to life in prison or an unlimited fine. Or both.

I know that this wasn't the answer you were looking for, but I thought you might be better off hearing about the Class A status of this drug and think carefully before attacking your own brain with it!

Good luck.

I have tried them.....(lots of times) quite a few yrs ago now tho'. At the time I absolutely loved it but looking back now I do think they contributed to a confused period of my life (amongst others things). The trouble I found with them is that you can't guage how strong the trip will be. I had experience of doing a lot and loving it and just doing 10 and losing the plot!! (Literally convinced I was dying and being happy about it!!!)

Having done it myself, I can't recommend it unless you are with ppl you can trust to be there for you if you should stsrt losing it, they can then talk you around.

Either way, have fun. xx

Theyr'e fun, as long as you don't have any mental illness or some kind of psychological trauma.
It's difficult to explain the effect of a psychotropic drug to somebody who's never tried it.
They last a few hours usually, can be longer if you take a large dose.
Go to Amsterdam and try them legally, rather than here where it's illegal (and you don't know what you're taking).
