The way Hydrogen Peroxide works is by releasing oxygen into the wound. The white bubbles are oxygen molecules coming out of the peroxide. This washes out the wound and kills some bacteria. It also damages a little of the tissue at the margins of the wound (where it turns white later). Using Hydrogen Peroxide is good for dirty wounds but not worth this damage for wounds that are already clean.

It has something to do with the oxygen hitting the wound, and some reaction, it's not as bad as it sounds.
I tried searching on the web, but I'm at work and found a few things, mainly stating what I just said.

I think it's a PUS. It is a thick opaque usually yellowish white fluid matter composed of exudate containing white blood cells , tissue debris and microorganisms.
