book and pay now on 90% of arilines means that they control the prices according to the number of seats sold on any destination, this can change in half an hour let alone a day, done are the days when you could book your summer holiday flights and then pay for them a month before departure as a travel agent we are already booking christmas and new year flights, to get the cheapest seats you should be booking up to 11 months in advance.

Depends on how many are buying seats, holidays in different countries, new taxes being added, fuel charges going up and the nearer you leave it to the departure date the more expensive it gets from day to day.
