Slaves more like.
"Do what I say or you go to hell". It's a tyranny, and the despot is a man who's been dead for 2000 years (if he even existed).

If you have truly believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for your sins then the Holy Spirit baptized you in the body of Christ which is the church. 1 Corinthians 12: 13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12: 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. Ephesians 1: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Ephesians 1: 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. If truly happen to you the you are joint heirs with him. Romans 8: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. Don't sound like a peasants to be.

No, we are not peasants. In fact he cares more about us than he cares for anything else. We are indeed his willing servant however but not because we are made less. We are the towering achievement of God. He tells us that in our Bible.

Or slaves or indentured servants.

Or blissfully happy indentured servile slaves of Jesus Christ, Our Lord, Our Savior, Our Master and Our Almighty.

If you do what Jesus commanded, you are his friend:
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known to you. -John 15:14-15.

We are all God's children. And like all good parents, he protects us, cares for and loves us and enables us to do all things thru him.
