I followed a recipe exactly and put the mix in a preheated oven at 150 degrees C for an hour. It looked good when it came out, but when I cut it open, the inside was grey and like rubber. Any idea what can cause this?

it wasn't fully cooked. you might have a weak oven. when you check your bread poke it with a toothpick, if it comes out clean and hot it's done. if not throw it back in for another 6 minutes or so.

Sounds like there was a typo with the recipe. Usually you bake Banana Bread between 325F to 350F or 163c to 177 c. Don't give up and try again just re-adjust your temps.

Your temperature was too low. It should have been 180 degrees.
