Chewing gum is good for the short term, but I would bring slices of apple, carrot and celery. Good fiber and the apple will keep your natural sugars up and you won't be so tired or hungry. Slices of banana, mandarine orange and grapes are all good things to keep you thinking clearly and going strong. Success!!!

I have heard that mint stimulates your brain, so chewing a gum with a light mint flavor probably wouldn't be a bad idea. I would suggest getting plenty of sleep the night before and a good, healthy breakfast, such as eggs and some fruit, such as an apple or a banana. As far as snacks go, I would bring an apple or something fairly healthy that doesn't have a strong taste to it. God luck on your test!

Fesh fruit is better. Candy has too much processed sugar and only gives you a kind of quick pickup. You are probably best off eating a good breakfast and lunch and getting a good night's sleep. Snacking can be a distraction

At my school we pass out mints, which are said to give a bit of a boost. During breaks (not while taking the test) we pass out popcorn and bottled water or juice (no caffine), fruit is also a good choice, or even a sandwich if you have enough time.
