I think you should make Spaghetti & Meatballs, Garlic toast & tossed salad....and for dessert, Tiramisu or Spumoni(if it's warm where you live.) & Coffee

my meatballs:
1 onion, grated ( make sure you grate it)
3 Tbl chopped fresh parsley
1 large egg
2-3 tablespoons ketchup
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
2/3 cup grated Parmesan
1/4 cup dried Italian-style bread crumbs
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
Mix all ingredients and roll into quite large balls. I normally cook my meatballs in my sauce.I do use jar sauces but I mix them up, different brands or flavors. Let's face it we don't always have time to make homemade gravy.

A link for a good tiramisu recipe is below

Lasagna is always good. You could bring a side dish of meatballs or italian sausage to serve with it. Some Italian bread, too. Now I'm hungry! I'm sure whatever you decide to make will be perfect.

Mmm, baked Ziti!
Baked ziti is always a hit and you can do it very easy.

Bag of ziti noodles, cooked, 1 jar of good tomato sauce (I use the spicy basil pesto flavored one),1 tub of ricotta, a couple of balls of good mozzarella cheese cut up.
Put everything but the moz.chz in a pan with a lid, stir together and cook in the oven 325* for 30 minutes, take the lid off and spread chunks of mozzarella on the top and put back in the oven till the cheese melts.
You can also add some meat to the dish, like browned ground pork (my fav), aduille or other sausage, or hamburger.

I live in Italy. I love lasagna and spaghetti with fresh clams or spaghetti with different types of fresh seafood. Yummy! For seconds I like roasted/oven-baked rabbit or chicken with roasted potatoes. Of course, don't mix meat with fish. For dessert, try tiramisu or an Italian-styled fruit pie (the kind that looks like a cookie with jam).

I'm talking about authentic Italian food and not the Americanized Italian food.

Oh, spaghetti with meatballs is AMERICAN! not Italian....Italians would never eat spaghetti with meatballs.

Lasagna always impresses.

Or surprise them with something Americans aren't real familiar with.
