Is there a website I can go to to get my approximate return without actually filling yet?

If you have your W2 from your job, you can go online to a website like H&R Block and start your return by putting in all the info it asks for...it's very easy to do and they tell you each step of the way what they need. Then, at the end it will show you if you are getting a refund or if you owe, and at that point you have the choice whether to submit the info to the IRS or not. At least you can try that and see where you stand without actually filing.
