God created some of us with a degree of intelligence, hence the knowledge to make the lightning rod. He have us the intelligence to cure many sicknesses too, but then of course, you have some He seems to have neglected to give that intelligence to, hence the questions like this where the questioner is doing no more than trying to insult those of faith. Then again, it may just be immaturity.

Christ and the Apostle Paul taught that we should respect our leaders for they are in their positions bythe grace of God. Local authorities have mandated certain building codes that preserve the environment from fire and other natural occurrences. It is not a lack of faith that motivates the decision to comply with these codes, but simply following what God has taught.

LOL man that's good..."I find your lack of Faith disturbing...kkh...kkh"-Vader. I bet the Death Star didn't have a lightning rod. But then again, the Force clearly existed...

Your question was veryperceptive. It's those kinds of things that make religion doubtable. And yes, a seatbelt also shows lack of faith, as does medicine. And eating. Why don't you let God nourish you?

No, it's just a safety precaution.

You have to realize that you can't just jump off a bridge and think that if you have faith God is going to save you. That would be testing God and God clearly says in the scripture "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord your God".

This is exactly what Satan did when he tested Jesus. Here Satan was using scripture to try to get Jesus to commit suicide.

Matthew 4:5-7 "Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:

‘ He shall give His angels charge over you,’
and, ‘ In their hands they shall bear you up,
Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”

Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’”

Testing God means putting God in a position where he is forced to react. It's more about trying to manipulate God than anything else and God doesn't work that way.

No, that shows that they have common sense. Sometimes you need to be strong in your faith, but with a healthy sense of reason too. God values people using the common sense that He gave them.

No it showes common sense and that people use the brains that God gave them.

Just because God is with me, im not gonna walk into a little dark alley way instead of taking a nother safer rout. That would just be stupid. God is there to protect us and one of the ways that He does that is to give us a brain to think with.

Great question, love it!

I think it does show faith, but faith in technology, which suggests relience on the findings of science... how interesting... faith in science... i would never have thought of christians for that!

Where next?
Accepting that monkey-like creatures are sitting in pews and pray??
