Surprise! There actually is a variety of lemon that is pink, the variegated pink lemon. Commercial pink lemonade is usually colored with grenadine, beet or grape skin. From my experience, the pink lemons taste just like normal lemons, but the cost is sort of prohibitive and they are slightly dry. Judging from the other comments, pink lemons are still rare and pretty unknown.

Dear Dana,
I haven't seen a pink lemon before but there are such things as blood oranges you can try which colour may add some tinge of red into your lemonade and it won't damage the flavour as its a citrus too.

Is not such thing as pink lemons. I think is a gimmick from the food industry to add color to are favorite so they have a new product. Example the green ketchup

No, I dont think so. You must add sugars to original lemonade to get pink.
