Well, there are many ways that Hollywood distorts romance.

#1 - Hollywood often equates sex with love. They show the couple deciding they are in love and immediately jumping the sack to show that love, instead of showing the couple get married first.

#2 - Hollywood makes love look easy. They rarely show that love takes time and commitment to one another. They show people falling in love at first sight. It's lust at first sight in reality, which can lead to love with work, but doesn't start out that way.

#3 - They make sex look picture perfect. Both bodies beautiful and in perfect shape. They never show any of the embarrassing or funny things that can and will happen during sex.

Those are just a few.

The movies are written with fantasy fullfillment in mind. When a movie is based on fantasy, and people go see them and think it's based on real life, theyhave a tendancy to try to play their relationships like a movie. For instance, I cannot tell you how many girls pick a "bad boy" because he is SOOOO hot! Then decide he is just "misunderstood" and thats why everyone is against her hooking up with him.Sure he just got out of jail and has to go to court and was born on probation, but everyone deserves a chance right? And what better way to give someone like this a chance than to have sex with him or even maybe marry him? They may tell the girl he is a druggie and has babies by 6 ex's but when she fially has enough guts to confront him about it he lies to her and she readily accepts it because its waht she WANTS to believe. He tells her she is the ONLY girl he has been with(until the dna test come back proving otherwise) then "oh it was a mistake i didnt think youd understand and fogive me"etc. The drug thing is"oh Im quitting" and in reality he is just hiding it unless youre with him 24-7 and go to the bathroom with him the whole 9 yards, all you know is what you are told.In the end what happens in reality is he doesnt change for her, because he loves her more than life and cannot live without her, he desperately tries to have his cake and eat it too.On her end, she is usually pregnant with the 1st or 2nd child before she realizes"hey im working supporting all of us ,or trying to , he hasnt worked more than 6 weeks ata time blows the money on dope, wrecked MY car he ahsnt got a drivers license lost it when he wrecked his car and was charged with d.u.i. and has to pay a bunch of court fines etc,he has lied to me many times etc. This is reality. The movies show him at the bar having a good time, everyone is healthy happy no one becomes an alcoholic, no one becomes druggies etc its all good everyone sleeps together and is great friends blah blah blah. You have a lot to learn.Fantasy and reality are 2 different worlds.

Movies distort romance by making it seem like it's an easy road. Two eyes meet and it's "Happily Ever After". Romance can be happy but there are some bumpy roads along the way.

Romance between a couple is in the real world. People and circumstances can come between these real couples. It is make
believe in the movies. It is unreal and they make it like that to
draw us in to buy a ticket and see this drama. We like to see the
unreal because we have to live the real life.

well they give a false sense of truth to actually finding "love"....we can all agree that life specifically "love" does not certainly play out the way they do in the movies...if it did we wouldn't be hopeless in seattle....or newyork...or chicago....or....__________ ...the blank is yours to fill

they don't show you the real problems that real relationships face and they make everything look amazing and perfect.
