Boy, never heard of that one! It could make you sick with a good case of diarrhea, which in turn could dehydrate you. That could harm your baby. Consult your doctor! Don't try things like this on your own. I think you'd regret it.

It would probably depend on how much laxative it normally takes to get your bowels to move. I have heard of people doing this. It is an old home remedy. The Castor oil causes your stomach to "gripe" imitating contractions. It does work, although doctors will tell you not to do it.I've only heard of people drinking the whole bottle with something like OJ mixed in it to kill the taste. They do have the tasteless kind although it is kind of oily. I'm a nurse and some of the doctors I work with recommend drinking raspberry tea. Hopefully you're at least 38 weeks along which would promote a healthy baby. Other things you could try are, brisk walking or really rough sex. I personally did the latter (with the help of my husband) and when I went to the hospital in order to prevent them from sending me home, I ran up to the top of the steps (about 5 or 6 of them) and jumped down landing on my feet into a squatting position. After about an hour of walking and doing this I had dilated 2 centimeters. ONLY, ONLY do this if you have good balance and coordination. It would not be good to fall! Hope this helps.

I never heard that before. But i do know another way. Kinda makes baby's dad feel used but hey your being used as a baby incubator. Just have sex and then lay in the bed with your rear elevated so that the *** can thoroughly coat the cervix. It naturally softens it. I did this three times a day
