I Live on Maui and the prices for food are crazy! Milk is around 6.50 a gallon! (really). Bread-even the cheapest, cardboard like stuff runs close to three dollars...a good quality bread can run up to 5.00 for 3/4 of a pound loaf. Its gotten so crazy we are moving outta here.

This really depends on where you are headed. Prices are MUCH higher on the coasts than in the middle of the country. Also, do you plan on just eating out or do you plan to cook?
I am in Oklahoma:
Noodles : about $1.00 a package
Tomato Sauce: can usually find 4 for $1.00
Ground Beef: $1-$2 a pound
Bread: I get 3 loaves of Sara Lee Whole Wheat for $5.00
Milk: about $2.50 a gallon
Apples: Normally I can get them for approx. $1.00 a pound
Yogurt: about .50cents a piece
McDonalds meals run from about $3.50 to about $5.00

It really all depends on where you live, as prices differ from state to state. I live in Georgia and here, a gallon of milk is $3.29. A dozen large eggs is about $1.29. Paper towel (name brand) is about $1.79 per roll. Ground chuck is $1.99 lb. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (on sale) are about $1.99 per pound. If they're not on sale, they're $3.99 per pound. A pound of butter is $3.29.
