Get a couple of kegs and spike some punch. In my experiences that usually makes everyone happy.
Or maybe ask a few friends who know how to make the basic simple drinks and see if they could do you a favor and be bartender for an hour or so then they switch.

I'm a graduate of the bartending school...I could probably handle it. But I doubt I live near you...so just call the local bartending school and hire a graduate. They'll work for peanuts!!
If you don't want to hire anyone then just sit a few bottles of liquor out. Rum and coke is a favorite; maybe screwdrivers....but then you run the risk of someone stealing the bottle of liqour.

go to a bar if theres one that you go to and ask a bartender if they want to make some extra money. im sure that if you offer like 200 for a couple hours, plus tips someone would do it. Or put an add in the paper for a bartender stating that its only for a couple hours work at a wedding. you could always do a "adult punch" search out recipes on the net for a good one.

Does your venue have a bar?? If so they will usually have a bartender on hand...if you are having like a backyard type reception maybe you can find a local bartender that would be willing to tend for you at a reasonable rate.

you could hire a bartender ask around someone may know one or you may have a budding one in your family. (my Aunt and Uncle volunteered for mine) also our best man had been a bartender at a previous job. If not try hiring one from a bar who may have the day off.

Contact the local branch of Professional Bartending School Association. They will place the request on their web site.

Yes there are companies who provide just bar service. I would recommend checking with your venue to see if they have any suggestions first before seeking one out on your own (directory, wedding guides, etc.).
