try taking vitamins with iron( to add blood volume) and vitamin e (wipes away dead skin cells), add citrus fruits in your diet, lay off a bit on cheese and dairy products too much of these gives you unwanted headaches, the specks are usually a growing - up thing at your age, it will soon grow out

They could be bruises or an insufficiency of certain vitamins and minerals. You would need more than just calcium. Go to the library to see if you can find a good book on nutrition. Learn what other vitamins and minerals you may be lacking. At 16 your body needs a multitude of extra supplements as you are still developing in many ways.

I have the same thing on my nails. It IS a lack of calcium, though. I don't care how much calcium you say you get, but its not enough. You're supposed to have 8 glasses of milk AT LEAST a day. Now, I don't drink that much, because I'd probably puke. But theres no other reason, face the facts and accept it!

drink your dairy products and other calcium rich items and go out in the sun more often, vitamin D helps the calcium be absorbed in the body.
