My dog is an 11 month old shih tzu {girl} She will hold on to ooour pugs' tails and slide across the room.

Ever since we got her she has did this

she growls during play and when i am holding her she bites and growls at the pugs if the try to come up with us.

She was involved in a slight fight with one of our pugs about four monthes ago they were both on their hind legs(eachothers paws were oon eachothers sholders) and she had started it.

none of our other dogs show any form of agression.

We WILL NOT take her to obedience classes we live in the country and she is a house dog.

the vet said she is healthy

She is crate trained and potty trained

Should we seperate them? What else should we do? Can you reccomend a website? Is their training we can do?

The play part is normal. You lack of willingness to train your dog is concerning. You do realise you can do it yourself right? I think you hit the nail on the head when you said "she is a house dog." That's your problem

From what it sounds like here, your puppy might not be getting enough exercise and she certainly has no respect for you as a leader. Until you take her for walks, by herself and with the other dogs, be a leader and teach her the rules, nothing will improve. Separating them will make it worse. Also, because you're seeing reactions in the Shih-Tzu, doesn't mean the others are innocent. There is a LOT of unseen language going on. Go to any book store and pick up the books that look best to you, and with a philosophy that you like. Personally I LOVED Caesar's Way by Caesar Milan - Dog Whisperer.

She is trying to assert dominance over the other dogs. What you can do it teach her that you are the boss and you will not tolerate her behavior. She now thinks that she is the boss of the pug. She bites and growls at him when you are holding her because she thinks that you are her possession.

You need to show her that she is yours - You are the ALPHA DOG not her. When she does this behavior put you fingers together like you are holding a pencil and poke her - when you do it yell NO. It will not hurt her. Trust me. It will get her attention. If you are completely consistent then she will learn that this is not an OK behavior and that you are her boss. If she is acting really fresh roll her on her back and hold her there for about a minute or until she stops fighting. This is the submissive position. She has to submit to your will.

Furthermore you have to teach your little pugs that you are their boss and part of your job as their boss it to protect them.

Think of it like in the wild the Alpha Dog would not allow another pack member to beat up on another pack member. It is only the Alpha Dog who hands out punishments. Pugs and Shih tzu's are no different than wolves in this respect.

Good luck with your babies.

why won't u take her to obedience class it will help it doesn't matter if she is a house dog the dog might hurt ur other dogs if u do not take action!! The vet can say the dog is healty but the vet can't get in the dogs head and she what she is thinking!! the dog probably doesn't like the pugs!! seperating them would be best if u do not want to take her to obediance class!! i don't think training will stop the dog from biting and fighting the other dogs!! everytime she bites of hurts the other dogs scold her. make sure the the dog knows whos boss!! U ARE!! sounds like a bad dog ur pugs sound sweet

A well-trained dog makes everyone happy, including his owner. Take a little time training him, and you'll never regret it; you'll always have an obedient dog by your side. Find more https://tr.im/H6FOU

By their nature, dogs are pack animals with a well-defined social order. Through basic training, you need to consistently make sure your puppy understands that you are the leader, not him. So in teaching him the basic rules, you take on the role of pack leader.

To fit into the family circle, your dog must be taught to recognize his name and such commands as come, heel, lie down and sit.
