He will need to adopt them. Then it wouldn't be hard to change there last name to yours. Unless your last name is different from your husbands.

so who's name is on the birth certificate at this time ? are they more than one father for the 2 daughters ?
how long have you been married to your new husband ? and what last name did you intend to give your daughters ?
i got it ! you want to give your daughters ,your new husband's last name ? am i correct ? have you asked him ?
i think :let things rest the way they are ..an up-rise ,may upset your family 's functioning ?or at least the kids ........why stir something that will only be bring up mud ? :-)
be nice :-)

Yes you can But, how old are they? My husband mother did this to him and he didn't want it done so we just went threw the mess of changing his back and our children's to his before our wedding. The lady who helped us told us lots of people change back when their parents change their name. You need to go wherever you go in you area for a wedding license(vital statistics) they have forms you need to fill out. It is very easy to do it does cost money and you will have to get new birth certificates. I live in Alberta, Canada and it cost us $125 for the paperwork for my husband and the children (together all done on the same paper)and $50 for my husband to get a fingerprint criminal check to go with it( mandatory for adults not needed for children)now we just have to get new birth certificates for the kids which will be about $40 each.

My honey was shocked when his ex wife insists that the 2 kids go by her name and not his. Legally she's not allowed to do this so he has to take her to court over this. What a hassle.
I would leave the names alone

Your guilt is not sufficient to confuse and hurt your kids. Shouldn't THEY be approached if their given names were to be changed, even if there is a mistake? What about the guy you married? You are a head case. Get counseling and live with the way things are so you don't send your pain to the rest of your family.

The name given by our parents or tutor is not our real name. We are multidimentional and universal beings. Our real name is in the inner of ourself. Your kids will find their real names whenever they be ready to receive it. Now, our identity in the earth allow us to have rights, musts, inheritate, run in the school, get a job, etc.
If you need to change your children surnames ask to your lawyer and he will assist you accordingly.

I think you go down to the court house and apply for a change. It may cost you some money. I think you should change their names.

Ok I really dont want to insult you but the worst thing you could do it try to hide something from your kids. My mother did that for years and I think I could never trust or forgive her for her lies.
