It depends on how much exercise they need (and how much you will be walking it), also whether you want a dog you have to groom all the time, and your personality. Look at this website and decide for yourself.

I'll be 14 next month.. And I have three dogs. The best dog/puppy for a teenage girl is any dog that is from a shelter, as long as you both love each other. Choosing a dog is like choosing a boyfriend, you choose each other because it feels right. Please do not get a dog from the newspaper or a petstore as these dogs often get Very sick and there is no telling what kind of shape they are in. And when choosing a food for your dog, go with something that has meat at the top of the list.. It cannot have corn or soy in it, corn makes their fur turn yellow and can cause cancer, and soy causes seaizurs.

what I would suggest first is speaking with your parents about a dog/cat/pet first. An animal is another life something YOUR responsible for, Second take into consideration "Will you be able to feed it regularly" "Are you or is anyone else allergic?" "Will you walk it at all hours" "Are you willing to potty train it" "Take it to vets??" esentially an animal requires care vet visits and love, ask why you want it, to have it?? to be cool?? because your ready for the responsibility?? what about on vacation will you hav arrangements made for its care if you go out of town?? if your friend wants to go out, will you see YOU take caree of your pet?? or just hope your parents do??will you get it fixed?? If you realize your ready for a pet pet companionship is rewarding, HOWEVER then I would suggest a visit to the local shelter for a low adoption fee you can offer a second chance to an animal thats fixed and UTD on shots... there are so many needing a home and love and you would find the right dog for you! Im Pro adoption versus paying an exuberant amount for a Dog that isint even fixed... give it a shot!

All based on what your life is like. Where you live, ( do you live in apartment or rent if so what are the rules on own pets, own how big the yard is it fenced in ) how much time do you have on your hands ( Or you looking for a bath and brush or a dog that has to be groomed ) good breeds or mixes Lab, Husky, Bass hound, Pug, Samoyed are a few.

It completely depends on your lifestyle and preferences. You can go large, small, loyal, cutesie, short hair, long hair, and there are many different colors and styles to choose from. If you are very active and have anough room for a large breed, this would be a good fit for you. However, if you do not have a lot of room and if you aren't too active, you should get a smaller breed of dog. If you have no preference at all and are just looking for a good dog, get a mutt. Rescue a dog from a shelter, or look in your newspaper classifieds- I've had many mutts that I've rescued, and they are hands-down the best, healthiest types of dogs you can get.

i have had the same problem this year... theres not really anything i'm dying to have this year... but just think about what you really enjoy doing, what your interests are... for example, i LOVE photography, looking at pictures taken by others and getting out there and taking my own. I'm a photography student and use my brother's nice camera, so i don't really need one right now for my own, but i think i would really like having my own someday... so i went ahead and asked for one... and i would love it if i got one. but when i was thirteen i would have LOVED giftcards to my favorite clothes stores, jewelry, shoes, a new purse... a little point and shoot digital camera for my friends and i... an ipod, or giftcards to iTunes... things like that. What are some of your favorite movies... things small like that even are good gifts....

That depends on many things. My first thought was to say a toy dog because that's what I liked and what my teenage neices like but, many girls would like a larger dog. I found my favorite breed by attending dog shows. You can go online or get books on dog breeds. You should research dog breeds before you make a decision. Also talk to dog owners.

i think either a chihuahua or a cat. cats are affectionet and listen when you want to talk about your problems. they cuddle and on top of that adorable. a chihuahua has a dog-gone cute face and are very like wanting to get picked up and hugged. they like to cuddle also. but what ever your choice i hope i have been at least a little help. try petfinder.com its easy!!!!!

That really depends on the girls personality. There are dogs that are more active than others and different degrees of stubborness, etc
