MY DEAR, you are almost the only exception i know of when it comes to Christians who do not condemn others. you know my history with the bible thumping, Jesus told me to hate you crowd and it has bittered me to the point that i have on many occasions almost completely lost faith in a supreme being. the one constant thing that shows me that there must be hope for Christianity is the way you practice it...xoxo

99.9% christians do not read about any other religious teachings. They read only bible and believe madly that THAT is the only true religion. The best part is they argue saying it says in the bible so it is the truth. The protestants think they are better than the catholics, the pentecost think they are better than the protestants, the jehova withness think all others are wrong, and the seventh day adventists think all other christians are wrong because they go to church on sundays. Totally all the christians think hindus, muslims and any others apart from christians are wrong. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME CHECK THIS OUT talk to other christians you will know what I am talking about.

* Many Christians are taught to exclude other religions or secular systems of morals/ethics/philosophies. This has created the prevailing false perceptions of the Christian faith based on hypocrisy and judgment which as you and I know contradicts Bible scriptures. Please read Bishop Carlton Pierson's book on the Gospel of Inclusion where he has railed against this trend in Christianity, and preaches that salvation is for all people inside or outside the Christian church. As more leaders and followers within the Christian church teach reconciliation and inclusion, the false stereotypes and teachings will be corrected.

* Because the Christians who do judge and preach loudly in public are more "visible" than those who humbly pray and do the work of the Lord without seeking public reward or credit. Same with Muslims -- the fundamental militants who commit atrocious violent acts that blaspheme the true faith get more "media coverage" and public attention than the peaceful faithful Muslims who pray and give charity daily and do not claim to speak on behalf of Allah or the Koran or Mohammed, much less kill or do any violent protest against their peaceful teachings.

The ways of the world are part of the reason we are warned not to judge by material appearances, but by the spirit. Just because someone claims to represent a faith does not make them a spokesperson for God, as even the elect shall be fooled.
The Bible says judge not, but judge "righteous judgment." The more we honor true spiritual values, and not worldly positions of leadership or the appearance of authority, we will see the tables are often turned. As Jesus was Lord of all in that He was servant to all, the most humble and meek servants are often the most powerful leaders. He who shall be chief of all, shall be servant to all. So the most powerful are those who are most obedient, and those are usually the most humble who claim least authority and give all credit and Glory to Jesus and God.

Note: true understanding and receiving of Christ through healing, peacemaking, reconciliation is humble work done privately in person outside of public spotlight. Even the secular mediation process works best when negotiated in private and not debated in public for show which fails the diplomatic process. So again what we see in the public media is often the opposite approach of what it truly takes to bring restoration and healing in Christ.
Most of this work is done behind the scenes with personal and private prayer; it is not intended to be used for show, which often defeats the purpose.

Good resources I recommend:
* Francis MacNutt "Healing"
* Bishop Carlton Pierson's book on the Gospel of Inclusion
I think the title is "God is not a Christian"

You are lumped into the christian catagory. Some are not judgemental some are. You may be one of the good guys, but your question does not indicate that you think too deeply.

properly its fairly a options phantasm, in case you imagine about it no longer purely christians are judgemental besides the undeniable fact that the non believers are judgemental also, you would possibly want to undergo in options that christians are nevertheless human to, same to the non believers, all adult males are created equivalent, merely because someone is a christian doesnt advise that that christian will be suitable, christians have their down falls to. Muslims will settle for any religions that doesnt position self assurance in christianity beliefs, muslims hate christianity, and are not accepting of the christianity faith, in case you dont position self assurance in god or the christianity beliefs then muslims will be accepting with any faith that you would possibly want to belive in.

Christians are judgmental. Everybody is. It is human nature to be judgmental.

It's just that Christians claim that judging others is bad, so that makes them hypocrites. They also get offended when they aren't allowed to push their superstitions on others in inappropriate venues. If you don't meddle, then good for you. However, that is what Christianity promotes.

maybe you are hanging out with the wrong crowd. I have never seen a christian attacked in person for his or her belief. Try not to take it personally. If you are seriously concerned, do a double-check and see if you are accidently making others feel uncomfortable. Is your office wall-to-wall religious artifacts? Do you have to quote the bible in every conversation? Do you start talking about your faith with complete strangers when they never asked about your faith or talked about theirs? If not, go in peace.

We do judge and we are hypocrites it is human nature but the best way to get past judging is accepting who everyone is in this world and accepting their individuality.

This is interesting.

When arguing about the existance of Bob... sorry, I meant God, they quickly go to the "numbers" argument... "Hey, millions of christians can't be wrong".

But when it comes to what most people believe about christians then the argument is suddenly not valid?

I love this phrase: "Christians aren't perfect, they just want YOU to be"

Take care!

If that's true, You're the exception to the rule. Not all Xians fit the stereotype, but many do. And most on this forum do.
