depends on your faceshape and how short you want the rest of your hair . it can also depend on how short you want your bangs and the look you're going for . . people who like to stand out , usually have reallyyy really short layers and they go out to really long layers . if you just want a regular cut , the shortest layer should be your bangs , whether they are side bangs or just regular bangs that fall over your forehead , which not many people have now but it looks reallyy good on some people . and personally ,. i thibnk more layers looks nicer , but some people dont even like layers .

well it depends on what is your hair like now ?? if it short cut with clippers for instance then the layers are mainly going to be through the top and some in the side and back . it depends on the look you are going for to . without seeing a picture of you now and what you would like its hard to say go in to the salon you like with pictures tell what you would like but remember it will be based upon what you have now.. i hope you get a haircut that you like .
