I am aware that many people believe in God, but growing up in school I was always singled out because of being a mormon and even now I'm considered "weird" by friends who are quite happy to believe in the "devil".
Let's just pretend that we all agree that there is a God and a Devil, don't you think it's interesting that Satan has managed to not only make people Hate God, but forget him altogether?

God is a manifestation of the Devil.
The Devil loves to play games, He loves gratifying himself. He loves to be hated, but ...He loves to be... 'loved' even more. He just doesn’t force it on anyone...
He respects freedom of choice.

Some Satanists don’t believe in Spirits or anything 'spiritual'. Personally I think they are just too scared of anything that's truly supernatural. Satan means enemy. Any God that's not of the Abrahamic religion could be called 'Satan' although the Devil is a name given to the 'scapegoat' Deity of any or all religions despite their geographical or cultural position. Loki is a Devil. Typhon is a Devil even Prometheus is a Devil. It could be a force as Lavey said, but Lavey is not Satanism. Satanism is broader than that. Satanism is a broad term in an even broader term called Paganism. Although it would be considered Dark Paganism.

The Devil is a fallen angel but God is all powerful and if one believes in breathing one can believe in the God for without this he would not be living.

Forget pretending, there is no devil, there is no god. by extension, that means no devils, gods or demons of any kind, and no hell, heaven, or things similar. such as nivara, valhalla, hades or purgatory. There are none of these things except in peoples heads. Religion and all things connected to it are the result of mankinds imagination, and the desire of some to control others. Should I belive in valhalla and the gods of the vikings?

God and the devil are the two faces of the same coin. So if you keep tossing coin some times you get devils and other you well get Gods so you don't know in life if things happening to you are from God or his devil and it depends on what are you getting for that coin..

If people believe that all the evil in the world is due to Satan and all the good is due to God, then we humans bare no responsibility for anything we do, good or bad. Which is simplistic nonsense.
"Why did you hit me?" "Oh that wasn't me, it was Satan!"

god is a loada crap,but to answer you question satan is kinda seen as the rebels choice and show us that there is no such thing as god or any of that other religion crap-not tryin to offend,just what i think..
