I've noticed that 01:00 am is morning in English speaking countries ("one in the morning"), whereas in Spain or in Russia for example it is night ("la una de la noche", "chas nochi").

¡Please note that I'm NOT asking what time it is in your country at the moment! The question is a tricky one:)It has a lot to do with linguistics I guess:)thnx

ps. if you translate "la una de la NOCHE" or "chas NOCHI" it'll be "one in the night", not "one in the morning" as we say:)

I don't think anyone understands your question...

In French, similarly to English: "une heure du matin" (one hour of the morning), but it wouldn't be wrong to say "une heure après minuit" (one hour after midnight).

In German: "ein Uhr morgens".

It would seem two people already thought of putting their time in 24-hour format... Oh well, it's 12:23 anyway, so it's not like it's any different... but in a little over an hour, it'll be 1337!

Noonish. I'm tucking into my lunch of ice cream right now. Need to gain 10 pounds and I can't think of a tastier way to do so!
