Which is the best for baking an roasting, is an electric oven or a gas oven?

Electric is better, because the whole oven will get hot. Whereas in a gas cooker the top of the oven gets a lot hotter than the bottom

At one time I would have said definitely gas oven but having recently moved to an all electric house and having to get a new electric cooker I would now say that if you have an electric fan oven there is no difference between the two and is merely a matter of preference.

I like gas for roast an electric for my veg iv got a twin oven so i can do both , tried to cook roast beef on electric an it was like a rock ,in the gas was nice so that's what i do now veg electric a roast gas ..

I like my gas oven , really good even heat .
Besides when our electric was out all over town I could cook while my neighbors couldn't , just had to use a match to light it .

if I'm honest i prefer gas as i can see the flame when I'm using the hobs, but electric is easier to clean on the hobs as it's all ceramic
with regards to using the oven with gas or electric it doesn't make a difference to me personally
some people love using gas cookers others love using electric but it's down to what suits you best.

I'm no cook, but I've used both and I prefer gas to electric. It's the same for central heating.

I prefer gas it heats up quick & loses heat fast.
