Probably not for a while, if ever. My stomach still turns at the smell of Apple Barrel Schnapps, and it was over 20 years ago when I got sick on it.

its all in your head and you may never be able to get over that feeling. If you have a bad experience then you associate whatever you had with it. Like if you had the worst hangover or puked after drinking only a certain alcohol, then you are likely to to assume that certain alcohol= puking. it works that way for just about anything.
You might be able to slowly get rid of that association, but it will take you some time. you have to train yourself to no longer associate that beer = that one night. But do it moderation of course... one beer at a time.

Possibly. Try some while trying not to think about the previous incident, otherwise you'll gag and remember that too.

Me, I can't drink brown liquors anymore. Cognac, whiskey, bourbon, you name it. That was 14 years ago, and I ended up being a bartender and the smell of it still made me pause while making the drinks.

Ha, you might never be able to drink beer again. I got drunk on sloe gin once when I was about 17. I'm 44 now and the smell or thought of it makes me queasy to this day. Ack, it's doing it now.
