Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. My uncle and aunt are a perfect example. My friend and his ex are perfect example.

Yes they do/can.

I can only repeat what I have said previously. It all comes down to communication

A long distance relationship cannot work unless both parties involved are equally commited to one another, that they both want it to work.

Yes, there are trust issues but if the communication is strong, then it is a minor issue that can be put to bed with some words of reassurance now & again.

Finally it really helps to have a date when you will be together. That way you both can look forward & plan accordingly.

They can work as long as you both make the effort.
My brother and his girlfriend were in a long distance relationship for 6 years while she was at uni and away travelling, now they are still together 4 years after she graduated!!

I think it works if you can manage to see each other often enough but it can't last for years, at some point the frustration of not sharing everyday life added to sexual frustration will put the relationship under massive strain.

They do work, if you're in love and completely committed to making it work. They can be hard, especially if you don't have the time or money to travel to see each other, but they can be completely worth it. Also, they will never work without trust on both ends!

Yes they can but it does depend on the people involved. I am a long way away from my man, and sometimes he will just turn up and it's great. Mind you I can't wait for the day he finishes Uni and moves down here !! x

This is a general question....there is no absolute answer to it.

It would depend on many things: the type of persons, how long they remain apart, changes in circumstances, money, change of place or environment, changes in outlook. No need to go on, there are many hurdles.

I am working on one now, so i bloody hope so. As long as we know we can look at others and not touch it is cool. I love him though and i know he loves me. That is the way forward in any relationship.
