people to go to church other than when times are bad? When they are worried they go but when times are good they do not go.

I hate how people are like, "I have a huge test I need to pass tomorrow to get my degree..." and they are worried so they go to God for help. But they don't go when they aren't worried about anything, they just leave him in the mist when things are going their way and don't think twice about it to continue going to church.

If they received less of a scolding and more encouragement and kind words .....and genuine spirituality .... and practical application of spirituality .....then maybe people would go ....

Christians will go to church because it's the right thing to do. What Christians need to be doing is inviting and bringing their friends and neighbors. People will come to a worshipping church, if for no other reason than to find out what all the fuss is about. People will gravitate to a place where they feel loved.

Church is a place for fellowship and if a person only feel the need to attend when they are feeling bad, then that is their right to do so. Seems to me, that churches wants people to come all the time so that the collection plate is full.
