i like my ex, does he like me?

my ex b/f mark and i have been friends forever we've been through alot considering my parents didnt except him so we had to kinda sneak around together. we really fell in love, however he dumped me because he was sick of hiding everything from them. we still talk hes like my bestfriend, hes always there for me and hes saved my life before..no joke. whenever i talk to him we talk for hours, and its as if weve only been talking for a few min. hes sweet and everything. but he can be an *** at times. But he has a g/f ,whenever i tell him i like a different guy he flips..and then he talks to me and tries to get me to like him again, and he says maybe in the future me and him will have a second chance. what do i do?!? this guy means soo much to me.

Been there and not really sure myself what to do. Unfornatly for us society only give us one option. Make a family, get married, and grow-old, die together. To bad they can't be as unique as the individuals we are. But then how do we get people outside the relationship to respect it? Its tuff, but maybe your best bet is to keep the guy around, just not to close... best way to put is make him a part of your life but not all of it. This way you can keep your options open and if someone comes around whose willing to lay it all on the line for you, you can be there to do something for yourself. But its a lonely world out there and helps to have relationships that can help bust you instead of bring you down, so if keeping this guy around is acully hurting you. Its time to let him go for awhile until your strong enough to just be lovers or he is strong enough to be more for you. It is your life and no one wrote any decent books about this that fits everyone. Just remeber when you lay your head down at night you only have you to answer to. So make sure you got some good answer for why your doing what your doing are esle your've only got yourself to be mad at.
