hello i have a mitsubishi hd 1080 series tv and where do i get a hd tuner for it to play video games in hd

You need a TV tuner only if you want to get off-the-air HD programing with an antenna or from cable.

Just connect your game console directly to the TV via either component cables or HDMI (or DVI)/
