Dreams and hallucinations happen

I would think that a "dream" and perhaps a "Hallucination" is not real but only an experience which exists solely in the mind of the individual having it for whatever reason whether induced by thoughts, sub-conscious playing of the min, or drugs - but that a vision of God would be a in fact a reality since I do not believe that a person could self contrive a vision of God or Christ.
(I assume that you mean that a vision of God would also extend to a vision of Jesus Christ).

Not all dreams or hallucinations are a a vision from God. God can speak to us in our dreams and hallucinations.
Best to stay away from drugs that cause hallucinations.

Dream: generally your minds way of sorting events into some kind of order.
Hallucination: A drug or trauma induced state that can cause the veil between real and imagined to break down
Vision of God: The Divine speaking to us, usually accompanied by either feelings of well-being, awe or utter terror. Such visions usually contain some element(s) that can not be explained away by normal logic.

In hallucination you think that whatever happens is real.In dream it is fulfillment of unfulfilled desires.Vision from god is again pure imagination or hallucination.Vision of god also can come in dream.
But there is nothing real in all these forms.

I have had visions from God,the difference is the vision will be true
it will come to pass,often that very day.

A vision from God shall be revealed as truth.
Ezekiel 33:33 And when this cometh to pass, (lo, it will come,) then shall they know that a prophet hath been among them.
