she has a really well paying job, i don't have one. She bought herself a diamond ring and itold her it was great, saved me the work of buying one. Now she won't talk to me. Why is she mad, i mean, eventually what's hers is gonna be mine and what's mine is going to be her hers...

This is as real as it gets.

She got mad because there is a time to be real. Saying that she saved you the trouble was definitely not the time to make a statement of that nature. The fact is yes in time hers is yours and yours is hers persay but some things are special and have a cecrtain sentimental value to them. Case in point.... the diamond ring...Sure she didn't mind getting herself something but the fact of the matter is that you should have(job having or not) made some type of effort to provide her with a gift of this nature if only for the sentimental value or ust to say "I'm thinking of you and I love you". Now that is as real as it gets!!

When you told her that it saved you the work of buying her one, it gives her the feeling that you are not willing to buy her one, or is putting no effort into the relationship at all.

She must have been wanting to receive a present from you, however simple, whatever the price. But hearing you say that, it strikes her as insensitive as she already had to settle with buying herself a present rather than have you give one to her.

I suggest you apologise to her, better if you had a gift. The gift need not be too expensive, but be one that might signify something in your relationship or something that she likes. Taking her out to dinner will also be good.

Good luck =)

It sounds like you hurt her feelings. Some-times guys don't think before they speak no offense and they don't realize they hurt the one they love. She may have a good paying job and you don't but she was probally thinking if your loved her and cared for her then YOU would find a way to buy her a ring! When you said to her "It saves you the work from buying a ring" probally made her feel like you don't care enough about the relationship to make it special. So I would try to make it up to her. Good luck

Well..its probly cuz u hurt her when you said that. Even though she bought herself a ring, she would NEVER appreciate it as much if you bought her one..im not sure how to say it..maybe she thought you were happy that you didnt have to waste your time or money on her

Because she feels that you don't care enough to buy her a diamond ring....she feels that she isn't worth a diamond ring if you say that!!!! You were in the wrong but she should know you can't afford it!!!!

I am not sure what would be worse...her buying herself a ring, or when my ex bought mine and got a loan for it and just never paid for it.

What you said just sounds lazy and ignorant. you should have just said "Yeah! really nice" and ended it there. Buying her another might charm her or offend her. Be care full.

i hope you didn't say to her that it saved you the work of buying one.....and i sitting here wondering what do you bring to the table, since you say that what's hers is going to be yours and what's yours is going to be her's....so my question is,what do you have???beside you're personality....
