it's spelled correctly.

chole=gallbladder
docho=duct
duodenum=beginning part of small intestines

so choledochoduodenoscopy is an endoscopy (using a flexible fiberoptic scope) to visualize the inside of you gallbladder, the duct going into the gallbladder, and the small intestines.

the gallbladder is usually visualized indirectly by fluroscopy (x-rays) and injection of contrast dye directly into the ducts while x-raying. that will detect gallstones.

Chole - to do with the gallbladder and biliary system
Choledocho - to do with the bile ducts specifically

Duodeno - to do with the duodenum

-oscopy - to visualize

ie. to look at the bile ducts and duodenum

There are usually two ways to look at this area - one is endoscopically and the other is radiologically.

In the Endoscopic form (called Endoscopic Retrograde CholangioPancreatography or ERCP for short here in Australia) an endoscopy is performed and the endoscope is passed beyond the stomach into the duodenum. The duodenum can be seen directly. More importantly, the bile ducts are accessed via the sphincter of Oddi - the outlet of the bile duct into the duodenum. The endoscope is applied to the sphincter and a small amount of dye is injected. X-ray pictures are taken of the bile ducts and any gall stones can be seen as an obstructing mass in the bile duct canal itself. Externally compressing masses can also be seen in this manner.

Other radiological techniques are available to visualize duodenum and the biliary tree but are usually not so complete in visualization.

The wiki page has a good description and some pictures.

Chole = bile
docho = duct
duodeno = duodenum (the first segment of the small intestine named for its size, 12 finger breadths)
scopy = to look

This is the procedure in which a camera is passed down the throat and esophagus, through the stomach and the entry of the bile duct into the small intestine is examined.
