Because the demand for mental health services outstrips supply. Unfortunately the only time mental health seems to get any attention in the media is when a severely ill person kills someone. And the government will only spend money on media worthy things. I recently asked for counselling after years of anger and mild self-harming, I was sent to a charity for an initial appointment, this took a couple of monts, then I was told to wait around six months for my first proper appointment. I was on holiday when the appointment arrived so did not confirm it and lost my place on the waiting list, I haven't had the courage to go through it all again.
You are not on your own, please perservere as you owe it to yourself to get better. If it gets really bad, call the Samaritans, or contact any of the mental health charities out there.

Because the NHS is absolutely useless, simple as that. When you do see someone they'll try to get rid of you as soon as possible and are very rarely actually helpful. If you can go private, do but apart from that, you are better off ringing the Samaritans or looking for help from the people around you. I find a good rant at my housemate (poor sod) does wonders, especially for anger issues.

Hi Donna. Sorry it's taking so long for you to get the appropriate help you need. In my experience where you live and the available resources in your area will affect how long you have to wait. Also, the severity of the problem and how negatively it is affecting you life. Talk again to your GP for more advice, and to perhaps explain in more detail how much your life is affected by these issues. Good luck.

Have you tried your hospital's Behavioral Health or Social Work department. Usually appointments can be made there for patients who need counselling. And they don't take that long, and usually run on a sliding-fee scale.

I got here out somewhat late i wager, yet it truly is fairly favourite I listen. My motives are like yours I assume, worry of rejection etc etc... i'm now to not positive what its like for females/women human beings yet for adult males that is definately more durable for of course masculinity motives. adult males seem a lot less accepting of their gay male pals the position as women human beings are in many situations a lot less opinionated. no longer each of the time i might want to upload! I used to remorseful about no longer popping out formerly, believing that I had finally denied my authentic self. My boyfriend besides the undeniable fact that announces it truly is a blessing in cover. maximum human beings that come out youthful many times haven't any decision... sturdy luck besides.. And undergo in options'; you're purely gay/lesbian by orientation, do not fall into the stereotypical gay existence form that distinctive human beings do...

Because there arnt enough councellers out there and depresion is exteamly common with the crap people have to deal with daily. Try reading self improvement books. These are graet and helped me so much better then the councelling.

The question its self shows how anger are you. Please try to control your own anger without others help. Others cant help us, if we ourself cant do it .
