I understand. I do! Although I am not obese, I am a good 20 lbs overweight. Take it day by day slowly. I too am always exhausted when I get home from work. But I do end up losing the weight when I bite the bullet and JUST DO IT.

1. See your doctor aobut the arm and leg. That sounds serious! See him/ her BEFORE you begin an exercise regiment.

2. Start to go to bed earlier. Stop all caffeine and sugar after 4pm. Drink a lot of water throughout your day. Studies show there is a direct correlation to obesity and not getting enough sleep.

3. Six smaller meals a day: When I lose weight, my diet looks something like this:
7am Protein shake
10 am Hard boiled egg/ low fat yogurt, water
Noon Salad w/ turkey breast, water
3pm Piece of fruit/ and some cut veggies w/ 1/4c nuts,
5pm GYM! 1/2 hour light cardio/ some weights
6pm Chicken breast, veggie, salad. more water

4. Don't go to the gym right away.... get on a sleeping/ eating regiment like this for at least a month, you'll feel better... then start taking little walks around the block, then longer walks.... THEN the gym once you lose a couple of pounds first. :)

Best of luck to you... My thoughts and prayers are with you! Remember, sleep well, eat well, water, and exercise lightly at first. You'll find you won't crash and burn the second you walk in your door from work :) Also... a good multi-vitamin never hurt anyone :) PS...If you're not disiplined enough to plan your diet, Weight Watchers reall DOES do wonders in training you how to eat!

Get up early and workout in the morning, before work. As a bonus, you will feel energized for the day ahead after a successful workout.

See a doctor about your foot, calf, arm, and shoulder: you may have some condition which needs to be addressed immediately. Ask him/her what kind of cardio exercises would suit you best at your present physical state.

First thing you need to do is see a Doctor. Ask him about a diet and exercise plan. Exercise will create more energy. Since you have some physical problems, you might need to stay clear of certain exercises. But first you need to find out why your foot and leg swell and why the numbness is in your arm and shoulder.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.

The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.

Get started today!

Do you drink soda? I gave up soda and lost 7lbs in a few weeks. Stick to drinking mostly water and try to avoid drinks that have a lot of calories. Sometimes when I'm at home watching t.v. I will get up during commercials and walk in place to get my heart rate going. Do this during a few of your favorite shows and the time adds up. Also try eating half of what you would normally eat. You still get to eat what you like but don't overeat till you are miserable. Pay attention to calories and serving sizes. If you are able to go to a gym in the morning or after work that would help a lot. I go to the gym 5 times a week and do 30 minutes of cardio(treadmill, elliptical) and some weight lifting to build muscle. Muscle burns more calories so building muscle will cause you to burn more calories throughout the day. I hope some of this helps. Good luck. I know it's hard but once you get past the first few weeks and get in a habit and start seeing results it will get easier and you'll even start looking forward to exercising. :)

if you feel tired after work, you might want to try to exercise before work. you could go for a 20-30 minute run first thing in the morning or if you can't run yet, try brisk waking maybe for a little longer. all you have to do is get into the habit of doing it. if you feel you can't run in the area you live in your alternative is to join the gym locally. some gyms open as early is 6.30am. all you need to spend is around a hour to begin to see improvements in your health. as for the numbness and swelling , it might have something to do with ur weight but i suggest with you GP

For energy try eating more vitamin B, either from vitamins or enrgy drinks (low calorie energy drinks)

If cardio is too heavy of your bones and body, you should try aerobic water exercise.

The entire workout is in water, which puts less stress on your body.

First of all, I would see a doctor. It sounds like you might be diabetic. Any problem on the left side of your body doesn't sound good. I am not a doctor, but, please, see one a/s/a/p.
