I know some countries go on Christianity & make those days public holidays (christmas, easter, etc) but what about other religions such as Islam,Judasim,Hinduism & all other religions. Why are all of those new years & religious days not celebrated & have the day off as a country holiday.

I aint know it that makes sense but just a question.

i think it depends on the country if they want to give a holiday off or not.... maybe even they are not giving off is b/c of so many religions around the world and if they declare a national holiday for each and every religion's new year or whatever festivals they might have than our whole might be spend in holidays....i hope this answers your question

They probably do celebrate them. But we cannot have too many holidays somebody has to get some work done. Thats why the majority does what the majority says as they no doubt do in ther own countries

It is all about history. North America was founded by christians. I am sure in the middle east, the Muslim holidays are national holidays.
