She just took a picture of him. Shooting him is taking the picture, holding him under water is in the developing liquid, and hangs the finished picture on the wall.

I'm Guessing that she photographed him and then developed the picture herself.
Either that or she actually shot him, wasn't convinced he was dead so took the added precaution of drowning and hanging him. She then disposed of the body by selling his meat to the local indian restaraunt which she dined at later that evening, consuming the flesh of her former loved one. Might be stratching the realms of reality with that though!
