You are doing great! Two to three pounds a week is ideal. If you take the weight off any faster you run the risk of losing muscle tissue and of putting it right back on when you stop "dieting."
To get through a plateau, you should go be a little more strict with yourself for a week or two. This may get the weight moving again.
Of course, if your body has decided to take a break from "starving" it may not let you lose anymore for a short while. Up your exercises to see if that helps.
When a body reaches a certain level of "starvation" it will correct the balance by "holding" on tight to the extra fat.

Hi,
Firstly well done i think 25lbs is terrific, the plateau is quite normal and will dissapate within a few weeks, also if u r working out u could be replacing fat with muscle, so the best thing u can do is measure urself and keep measuring every week, so u can see the difference in inches even if the scales are showing no change!
Keep up ur fluids as this helps the body process any excess fats in the body aim for 2ltrs a day!

That's terrific. You quite possibly may be right about your muscle mass, being the problem, with not losing. According to the charts 185, is a good weight for the average 5'10", but if you are "bulking up", you would be heavier, but still look good.

It's a good steady weight loss and yes muscle does weigh more than fat. 185 lbs would be fine for 5'10" - if you're already there, stop, otherwise well done so far!
