I think an elliptical trainer is the best choice for upper body and lower body workout. One thing I love with the ellipticals, is the weight resistance. Adding resistance to the workout, helps strengthen your thigh and leg muscles. The one I use in the gym is a Precor Model. I would warn though, that they are pretty bulky machines and take up alot of space in the house. So make sure you have lots of room to invest for this machine. Good Luck!

I have an Orbi Trek. I love it. I hate going to gyms and to be perfectly honest, I don't like working out that much. But I do like this. I put on my iPod and take off. I feel so much better when I get on it 3 or 4 days a week and I don't do but about 10 to 15 minutes each time. Afterward I do a few crunches for my stomach and maybe stretch a little and that's it. Works for me! My husband has even started using it. But he is at a higher fitness level and stays on there for 30 or 40 minutes at a time! I honestly don't see how he does it. But anyway, I would recommend an elliptical trainer to anyone. Good luck!

I believe an elliptical trainer is the better option for lower-body workout and upper-body. Something I really like with the ellipticals, will be the weight resistance. Putting opposition to the exercise, helps enhance leg muscles and your thigh.

Most gyms offer a trial membership. You can get a free membership for a week and try out the different cardiovascular equipment.

If you're afraid of germs or have other reasons for avoiding the gym. I like the ellyptical trainer and I use it and a treadmill.

Make sure you buy a high quality one.
