i never understood how people got turned on by cybersex, and it depends on certain people if they consider it cheating. I know some women consider it emotional cheating

Yes and yes. I am presently in Kuwait and have been for the last 3 yrs, only returning home once.My wife does little "shows" to let me know that I am on her mind. Just her way of sayin "I'm waiting on you......hurry home."

I can't really think of sex by proxy (cyber sex, phone sex) as erotic. I've never been turned on by it. But, to answer your question, I don't think it's cheating unless you take it to the next level.

If you think its cheating then it is. otherwise its not.
Otherway around, it is upto your partner, if they think its cheating then it is, else not
